Geoffrey
Heber, M.D., MBA
Dr. Heber has compiled impressive accomplishments over
the past 20 years in both the practice of medicine and
as an entrepreneur in the development and successful management
of several medical technology businesses. This combination
of practical business and medical expertise is of tremendous
value to Crawford Capital, its investors and portfolio
companies.
Dr. Heber graduated with honours with a Medical degree
from the University of New South Wales and went on to
establish one of the most successful private practices
specializing in cosmetic medicine and plastic surgery
in all of Australia. With an interest in the business
aspects of medicine, he obtained an MBA from the University
of Sydney in 1990.
Applying his knowledge of medicine and business, Dr. Heber
went on to establish several successful medical technology
companies, among them; Doctors Formula Pty Ltd, MD SkinSolutions
and Clearcoll Pty Ltd. Assuming the Chairmanship responsibilities
for these companies, Dr. Heber was responsible for raising
the necessary capital, hiring and directing the management
teams, implementing suitable accounting and financial
standards, and overseeing the research and technology
development of the companies.
Dr. Heber is a member of the Australian Medical Association,
the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons and
is currently President of the NSW chapter of the Cosmetic
Physicians Society of Australia. He has made frequent
appearances in Australian media to discuss advances in
medical technology, including television shows "Real
Life", "The Midday Show", "A Current
Affair", the "Morning Show", "Gibson"
and "Good Medicine". He has also been regularly
interviewed for media publications such as Vogue, Elle
and She magazines.
Based in Sydney, Dr. Heber manages Crawford Capital's
Australian office. He is active in the evaluation of world-class
medical technologies being developed in Australia, and
leads Crawford's involvement with these companies. He
assists Crawford's U. S. portfolio companies with issues
relating to Asian business development activities.
