C. Hoynak, MD, F.A.A.E.M.
Bryan
C. Hoynak, M.D. F.A.A.E.M. has been affiliated with
the venture capital industry since 1995, initially as
a healthcare technology expert consultant and later
as a founding Partner of Crawford Capital. Dr. Hoynak
served as Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine
at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, prior to joining
Crawford Capital. During his more than 20 years in the
field of medicine, Dr. Hoynak has been directly involved
in the founding, successful management and sale of several
healthcare technology companies. Dr. Hoynak's responsibilities
included Board Chairman, CEO and COO.
This
management expertise in combination with his practical
knowledge of technology applications in the healthcare
industry, provides Dr. Hoynak with a unique perspective
into the opportunities and pitfalls of e-healthcare
and emerging technology companies. Dr. Hoynak received
his Bachelors' degree in Biology from Wilkes College
and his Doctorate of Medicine degree from the Washington
University School of Medicine.
He
is a member of the Harvard Business School Health Industry
Alumni Association and an Associate Clinical Professor
in Emergency Medicine at the University of California
at Irvine. He is a nationally recognized leader in health
care policy information with frequent appearances on
WABC and WNBC in New York in addition to a weekly syndicated
cable TV program. Dr. Hoynak is a charter member of
the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, Fellow of
both the American College of Emergency Medicine and
the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, as well
as member of the Board of Directors of the California
chapter of AAEM.
