Evan H. Katz

Mr. Katz's substantial and multifaceted expertise covers more than 12 years of senior experience in healthcare technology venture capital, operations and patent law. Mr. Katz's unique combination of financial, managerial and intellectual property expertise enables him and Crawford to very effectively identify exceptional companies, and to provide such companies with capable and insightful assistance in the development and commercialization of their medical technologies.

A recognized expert with regard to the financing, development, patenting and commercialization of medical technologies, Mr. Katz has helped raise and invest more than $100 million in cutting-edge biotechnology and other healthcare technology companies, implement M&A activities in excess of $1 billion, and bring to market numerous breakthrough biotechnologies and medical devices. As a venture capitalist, corporate officer and former patent attorney, Mr. Katz's venture capital, managerial and legal experience covers industry leading companies and medical technologies in many fields, including dramatic improvements in the treatment of major autoimmune diseases, substantial reductions in the incidence of dental caries, improved early cancer detection, and numerous advances in ophthalmic drugs and devices.

In addition to his venture capital and management expertise, Mr. Katz also serves as a director of several technology companies. Mr. Katz is a frequent speaker regarding the financing, development, patenting and commercialization of medical and other technologies, and regularly is quoted as an expert in the field by leading newspapers and industry journals, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Crain's and Ophthalmology Times.

Mr. Katz is an honors graduate of The Wharton School and Harvard Law School, and resides in Manhattan.
